Vitamin D has many different important functions in our body, including a role in cell division, contributes to the normal functioning of the immune system and muscles, but also to the maintenance of normal bones and teeth.

Vitamin D3, the most important form of vitamin D in humans, is found in fatty fish and cod liver oil, but also in avocados and mushrooms. The body can also synthesize vitamin D itself with the help of UV-B radiation. The fact that the majority of the population no longer eats enough fish, among other things, often leads to a vitamin D deficiency. Also, in our latitudes, the existing UV-B radiation is usually not sufficient, especially not in winter, to be able to produce enough vitamin D

Vitamin D increases the absorption of calcium, which could lead to undesirable side effects due to the increased calcium level. To prevent this, we have also mixed vitamin D3 with vitamin K2, which also contributes to normal blood clotting and the maintenance of normal bones.
